OMSI ~ August 2008

For once Brian was actually able to go with us to OMSI. We watched a laser light show, played at the science playground and walked with the dinosaurs. It was great to spend time as a family!

T-ball

We went and found baseball mitts for the kids and they love them. In the evening when Brian has finished work they all go on the front lawn and throw the ball around. They have so much fun. Mila has worked really hard on catching and she is really good. Ivan has quite the arm. I definitely see T-ball in our future!

Ivan the artist

Ivan has started drawing stick figures and faces. They are so cute. He calls the sticks "Indiana Jones" and the faces "crazy hair people". He draws them all the time and they are getting better and better. He is amazing:)

Coloring on the big easel ~ August 5th

Mila and Ivan love to draw and paint. They especially love their BIG easel. They can both draw and paint at the same time. It's great! They put Picasso to shame:)

Children's Museum

Mila and Ivan love the Children's Museum. We spent a fun afternoon with the Huss family playing and being crazy.

Haircuts

We headed over to Castle Cuts and the kids actually enjoyed their haircuts. They had fun and looked great. Here are some pictures.

Our 8th Anniversary!

This year Brian and I celebrated 8 years!!! We celebrated on Tuesday night at the Melting Pot. It is one of our favorite restaurants. For the weekend we did our first alone hike in 5 years. We dropped the kids off at my parents and then headed up to the mountain to hike up to McNeil Point on Mt. Hood. WOW! It was hard, scary, crazy and really amazing once we got to the top. For Brian it was a small little hike but for me it was a hike of death and I thought I was going to fall off the mountain. Snow crossing, sleeping in a tent on the side of a mountain, scrambling and climbing up cliffs is not my usual routine. It was sure a way to celebrate an anniversary, but next year I'm thinking spa weekend!
