March 28,2008 ~ PANCAKES!!!

Ivan LOVES pancakes! He is an amazing helper and gets out the box of Bisquick first thing when

he wakes up. He pulls his chair up to the counter and gets out "his" spatula. It is soooooo cute! Mila will come running in to help and it becomes a pancake party. I don't know what part they like best: mixing, flipping or eating:)

The Children's Museum ~ March 20, 2008

We love the Portland Children's Museum! Luckily Crystal, her girls, Valerie and Sydney were able to join us. We played, danced, dug & laughed until the kids went a little crazy. For our next adventure we will head down south to visit Crystal's museum:) Ready or not... HERE WE COME!

Easter ~ March 23, 2008

We had a fun Easter Sunday. After church we stuffed ourselves at a big yummy lunch! The kids had fun on a crazy egg hunt and filled their baskets to the brim. It was nice to eat and relax with the family and watch a couple movies.

Today we had a lunch party for my mom's 52nd birthday. After we ate at the Sultan Cafe and had dessert at Cool Moon we did a little shopping in the Pearl. Then we headed out towards the coast to look for wild mushrooms (Brian's new hobby). We stopped in Buxton at the Linear State Park to walk along the old train tressle. We struck out on finding any mushrooms but we had fun doing a little hike around the park. The kids even stood still for a couple pictures.

February 18th ~ President's Day Holiday

For the holiday we took advantage of the weather and took the kids to the coast. We started early and got breakfast at Camp 18 (it was YUMMY!) and then worked our way towards Canon beach. Although we were sick we couldn't stay couped up any longer, so we let the kids go crazy in the sand and water. We had fun running around in the FREEZING water and collecting seashells. Mila really loves to search for shells! She was a woman on a mission! Ivan loved to pull the big huge long ropes of seaweed. He is soooo strong! Once we had enough of the beach we got in the car and headed towards Tillamook. On the way we found a old historic railroad with some really beautiful trains. The kids had fun climbing in and exploring the old engines. It was great. For our last stop we went to the Tillamook cheese factory and got some cheese and ice cream. It was the perfect end to a perfect day!

We'll give it a try!

After the encouragement of friends and family I have decided to try out a blog page. Hopefully I will keep it up to date.
