Camping at Lost Lake ~ September 6th

We took advantage of the weather and took the kids camping up at Lost Lake. We had fun roasting marshmallows and sleeping in the tent... Well the kids had fun. We searched the lake for newts but unfortunately they had all disappeared. We had fun anyway walking the trail around the lake, picking & eating all the huckleberries we could find and taking a picture with big foot. Good times!

Mila's First Day of School ~ September 4th

Mila was very excited for school to start. Everyday of summer she asked "how many days left until school starts?". So when the big day came she was very excited but very nervous. She had a slight breakdown when we got there but by the time I picked her up she said she had the best day of her life:) That was good to hear because I worried the entire time that she was miserable. On the second day she was able to ride the bus for the first time. She sat next to one of her new friends and has wanted to ride everyday since. She loves school and loves her new friends.

September 1st ~ Depot Bay Beach

We finished the day eating at our favorite hole in the wall. The kids love shrimp and fish & chips. After we stuffed ourselves we headed over to the beach and let the kids play for a long time. They got so dirty that I think we took half the beach home with us. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day!

September 1st ~ Oregon Coast Aquarium Newport

Our 2nd stop of the day was at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. There were a couple of touch pools that the kids loved. They touched sharks, anemones, and starfish. They loved the hall of aquarium, and thought it was very cool that the sharks could swim over and under them. It was the first time for all of us. It was really great.

September 1st ~ Evergreen Aviation Museum

On the way to the beach we stopped at the Evergreen Aviation Museum. Ivan was in HEAVEN as he touched all of the jets and propellers. He looked in the cockpits and picked out his favorites. It was a good start to our day!

Mila's Hip Hop Recital ~ August 26th

Mila had a great time this summer taking hip hop. I can honestly say she is just as talented as her parents! What a great dancer:)

Sushi Night ~ September 21st

Tonight we made Family Sushi. It was great. The kids had fun making their very own rolls and named them after themselves. They looked and tasted great!
